Learn the Art of Relaxation – Yin Yoga Brisbane
Having trouble relaxing?
Got chronic tension in the neck, back and shoulders?
These are all signs of stress.
With our busy lives, it can be hard to find the time to relax. And often, when we do find the time to slow down, our mind starts racing and we have trouble switching off.
We can teach you how to relax your body and calm your mind.
I’ve tried a few yoga studios around Brisbane, and this is definitely the best one I’ve found. The atmosphere is open and grounded, and yoga mats are supplied! Getting myself to classes is often hard work for me, but I find myself looking forward to class here. I particularly love yin yoga, for the deep stretches and destressing 🙂
Since joining Cultivate Calm a year or so ago, my yoga practice has developed far beyond what I thought I could ever achieve. The studio space is inviting and the teachers welcoming. Classes offer something for everyone, and their contrasting approaches provide different ways to develop or maintain your practice in ways that suit you, and ways you may not have previously thought possible. I found it to introduce some calm into my life, and I’m sure you will find some too.
Combining ancient yoga techniques of breath control, relaxing yoga poses with mindfulness and meditation, we can help you to slow down, relax and truly unwind. Our Yin yoga sequences of relaxing poses, using the support of bolsters, are designed to rid the body of tension and stress. As your body starts to soften and relax, we turn our attention to the mind and practice mindfulness to ease tension and stress in the mind.
You don’t need to be flexible to practice Yin Yoga, it is perfect for beginners who can’t touch their toes as well as advanced yogis wanting to deepen their practice.
While the poses might look easy, the challenge with Yin Yoga is remaining still and keeping the mind engaged.
Yin Yoga is as much a mental practice of concentration and awareness as it is a physical practice to gain flexibility and release tension.
