Located in a stunning heritage building in East Brisbane, with FREE street parking, all you need to do is start.

A Yin Yoga class in Deer Pose

Lying on the floor with your eyes closed we teach you relaxing breathing exercises to calm the nervous system. You move through a series of gentle yoga poses and get really comfy with blankets and bolsters so that you can settle and unwind. As the tension melts from your body your mind stays present to the physical sensations, the breath and you observe yourself relaxing and unwinding.

I’ve tried a few yoga studios around Brisbane, and this is definitely the best one I’ve found. The atmosphere is open and grounded, and yoga mats are supplied! Getting myself to classes is often hard work for me, but I find myself looking forward to class here. I particularly love yin yoga, for the deep stretches and destressing 🙂


Since joining Cultivate Calm a year or so ago, my yoga practice has developed far beyond what I thought I could ever achieve. The studio space is inviting and the teachers welcoming. Classes offer something for everyone, and their contrasting approaches provide different ways to develop or maintain your practice in ways that suit you, and ways you may not have previously thought possible. I found it to introduce some calm into my life, and I’m sure you will find some too.
