I’ve had my fair share of dark times.
Ten years ago, I experienced the triple whammy of navigating a messy divorce, receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, all while my Dad was dying of cancer.
It was during these tough times that I discovered the life-changing power of gratitude.
I used to roll my eyes when yoga teachers (or anyone really) talked about gratitude.

To me, it felt like fluffy emotional bypassing or toxic positivity.
But now I understand the science behind it and how it affects our brain; it’s a no-brainer (excuse the pun) for me.
Gratitude has the power to lift us out of some dark places and can elevate our mood and mental state.
A while back, I did a podcast episode on the Science of Gratitude:
- how it boosts our mood
- how it affects our brain
- my personal experience with gratitude, and
- I share a simple gratitude practice you can do today to think and feel better.
Keep calm,
