Favourite Pose?

Triangle pose – trikonasana.

It’s an incredible release in the chest, upper back and shoulders.  And an awesome stretch for the thighs and hips. I especially love the feeling of opening up my hips.

Why did you start doing yoga?

To create time for myself and reduce my stress levels. Running was my addiction and I was never stretching and really needed to. Now yoga is my new addiction.

Why did you become a teacher?

Studying yoga teacher training was originally to deepen my own practice and learn more about yoga philosophy.

I didn’t have any intention to teach. But then I realised I wanted to share my love of yoga with others, especially how it will transform your mind, body and spirit.

How do you describe your teaching style?

My style is peaceful, guiding students to create space and connect with themselves. I encourage students to listen and honour their bodies – go gently when required, but challenge yourself when your body is ready.

What has yoga taught you?

To breathe deeply. To be kinder to myself.

What do you want your students to know?

Honour & respect yourself – no judgment when on and off the mat.
