Handstand, because I struggled with it for so long. Overcoming the fear factor, overcoming the feelings of being inadequate etc.
Why did you start yoga?
I did my first yoga class when I was 21 as part of my High School Teaching degree. It felt good and I had no idea why.
Why did you become a teacher?
I did a Mindful Leadership course in 2010, including a 3 day silent meditation, after which we journalled our 3 week, 3 month & 3 year life plan. My 3 year plan included “become a yoga teacher” which I then told myself was the last thing I would ever do.
How do you describe your teaching style?
Heart-centered, alignment-focused with sequences that makes sense.
What has yoga has taught you?
It’s still teaching me.
What do you want your students to know?
That it’s ok to be exactly as you are.
