We know that a regular practice of yoga brings us peace of mind and relief from a host of physical and stress-related complaints.

So what do you do when you are faced with an injury or limitation that makes attending classes daunting or scary?

This 3 Part Adapt Your Practice Course will teach you all the ways to modify your practice so that you can confidently join and participate fully in a general yoga class.

In life we are faced with many obstacles, yoga teaches how to navigate these obstacles on and off the mat.

This particular course will give you the tools and knowledge to manage your limitations on the mat so that you can continue to practice in a safe and enjoyable way.

This 3 Part Course will cover issues and modifications relating to ankles, knees, hips, low back, wrists, shoulders and neck.

This workshop will be suited to people who:

  • have a basic yoga practice/ at least 3 months experience
  • have an injury or health condition (arthritis, osteoporosis, frozen shoulder, bursitis, chronic pain, hip/knee replacement, fatigue)

This is NOT a Beginner’s Yoga Course, rather a course on refining and adapting your existing technique to suit your body.

CURRICULUM

  • Yoga Philosophy – Respecting limitations/safe practice (Ahimsa)
  • Modified Sun Salutation variations
  • Breath and Meditation

Week 2 Sunday 9 June 10.30-12.30pm

  • Yoga Philosophy – Contentment (Santosa)
  • Modified Standing Poses
  • Modified Balancing Poses
  • Core Strength
  • Breath and Meditation

Week 3 Sunday 16 June 10.30-12.30pm

  • Yoga Philosophy – Self study (Svadhayaya)
  • Modified Seated Poses
  • Modified Twists
  • Breath and Meditation

The course includes a free 5 class pass

Cancellation and refund policy

If you need to cancel, you will get a full refund if you provide us 72hrs notice. If less than 72hrs notice is provided, we will only give you a refund or credit to a future workshop if we can fill your place.
